Bank Account

Who would have thought that opening a new bank account could be such a long and pointless process, thought it would be fill a questionnaire, mayb a couple of signatures, alass i was wrong.

When my mum had a row with the people at the woolwich i thought ah well, shudnt be too bad, so off we trot to the Lloyds bank. Waited for ten mins before i was seen, then about another 20mins before i actually got into a tiny little room to where my account was to be sorted, 30mins of my life wasted already. Then the person who is sorting my details turns out to be an aprentice and so had to turn round to the supervisors every few seconds. Then the computer started crashing and before i knew it a process that i thought would take five mins was taking in the region of an hour. Ah well, so that was that and now i will be getting a nice new cash card in the next 7-10 days.

CD bought today:
Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze

Thats all for now - Farewell young viewers

  • i already have the qotsa album.... i don't actually think it's very good, but each to his own. the bucket is a heavy tune but all the rest are a bit poor imo, but i don't wanna put you off listening to it.

hope it's to your taste :p hehe

  • Woah - I opened a new bank account today, too! Perhaps we have some kind of psychoromantic connection!

I went with the HSBC, and they could, if it was anyone but me on the wrong end of that biro, have finished the job in five minutes.

  • Lloyds is the bank the Queen uses. Allegedly.
HSBC is my bank though :-)

  • hey ant how do we post in our lovely peter doherty community? you know im so befuddled

  • "only with through dissapointment can u ever be satisfied with real joy" - I don't buy that.

Reason being, there's always someone less fortunate than yourself. That means, you can always compare your own joy to everyone else's dissapointment (and there will *always* be someone less fortunate than yourself) and therefore gain knowledge of your own joy that way. If you see what i mean....

  • wow... more new words to add to the british vocabulary i am storing in my head: cash card. Never heard that one before, ha. I think we call it a debit card or bank card or atm card... blah
