  • Monday night?

Well things that I may want to talk about but cant because you clever readers of blogspirit may put two and two together and make a pretty solid 4 - Im not making that very discrete, so Im guessing some of you lovely, lovely people will work it out.

ANYWAY, that aside I will tell you about last nights excursion into Wimbledon - yes i went out on a Monday night, previously unheard of. Me and a couple of mates went out to the Aussie bar in Wimbledon named the Walkabout. It was a decent enough place and served a strange concoction of lager, cider and i believe cranberry juice which they called the snakebite. For me it tasted a little too much like cherryade. I stuck to the lager it is so simple yet so good. I did venture towards shots at the end of the evening but you know how it is.

That little bit of information does ignore the fact that when I was happily drinking away in the pub the bunch of girlies that had come were not allowed in - it seems to be a curse of mine at the moment, that people i go with cant get into places. But o well at least I was happy

Yeh anyway because we did end up feeling bad, we left the pub and walked around with the girls for a bit, but one of my mates had had a touch too much to drink and so decided to play matchmaker, due to he being with his girlfriend he thought it his duty i suppose. Anyway he was just embarrasing himself really because everyone was laughing at him... The girl he was trying to set me up with was a nice girl but to be honest my head was never gonna be thinking about her anyway. Hmm what do I mean by that I hear you ponder, well if you don't know by now then the chances are your not going to so dont worry about it.

Yeh so we walked around a bit, but were bored quite quickly and then went home - it was a bit of a washout in the end really, I was home before midnight and so I think concludes why we dont go out on a Monday

THE END - well apart from the drunken texting but we can forget about that...

  • The Second Gig

WELL, there is so much  that happened and so little that I am prepared to say.. haha

It all started rather badly to be brutally honest, my mate wasnt allowed in which was a bit of a blow and made me feel like a complete bastard but oh well... I had to get in, there was nothing gonna stop me from hearing the wonderful tones of mr. John Hassall (and Harmony Williams, and even occasionally Andrew Dejan-Jung).

So I got in and there was a band on for about 5mins only so i didnt really get much of that, then there was another band, no idea who they were (i really should have listened for the names but as i didnt i shall just list them in chronological order of performance until Yeti) and they were crap to put it bluntley, so I was bored, my mate wasnt there and I had at that point no alcohol in my system. That was soon to change though a nice Fosters was headed my way, which i drunk pretty quickly in the hope that it may liven me up a bit.

The third band on were there 'cos they won some channel 4 competiton or sommat and despite a shaky start I actually thought they were pretty good but unfortunately dunno who they were so it doesnt matter

More drinks of course followed and then another band took to the stage again pretty decent but it might just have been that the alcohol was beginning to mess with my brain at this point - In physical appearance they looked like a typical bunch of scousers and if i remember rightly they were so my judgement cant of been that bad.

By the time the 5th band were on we had moved right up to the front, near the stage in preperation for the band that as far as I was concerned was the main event - the 5th band were again not bad, the lead singer had pretty decent hair aswell and amongst the jubilation of the performance there was a lot happening.. including Rachaels hair nearly being set on fire and a strange dude who was almost certainly drugged up walking around and looking for his mate.

Then.... YETI. They were again brilliant despite the fact that I was in so much pain cos i needed 2 go piss really badly yet knew i wouldnt b able 2 get back to the front if i did. Any way that aside they again played all the top tunes allthough i did miss the insect eating man song that they did the other night, was a shame but still was awesome. I have made my decision, Merry Go Round is deffinately my favourite of their tunes.

We had to leave straight after Yeti, despite I believe 1 band still left to play, but we needed to get to the station before the last train and because i didnt kno when that was, 12 seemed a good time to leave. More fun and games happened on the train with the avoiding of the "mixture of scrambled egg and salmon" looking/smelling vomit on the floor and the wind tunnel affect on Caits hair. Ah but then again they all got off at Bank, goodbye hugs, then I sat down, plugged in the MP3 and then away to Colliers Wood.

My mate was ok though, he went and had a general booze up in Wimbledon and so said that it was ok, I have let him off paying for his ticket aswell 'cos I am just that nice.

No more Yeti in London for the foreseeable future ;'(, oh well, see all you lovely people again some time
