The Amazing Life of Ant D - Page 40

  • What's not to talk about?

1st of all, apologies to DJ that there can be no link because of the immense size of the cartoons meaning i cant fit them onto a free internet web page without reducing the quality so much so that you can't see what is going on.

Next onto my job hunting. On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, me and my good chum Matt Tate went out ajob-hunting. Me being an optimistic fool thought that this would be easy, Tate having older, summer job seeking brothers and sisters, took a more realistic aproach. Over the two days i think i was rejected more than in any other period in my life with the general response of no we're not looking to employ anyone at the moment (So fuck off, clearly imprinted in their minds). There were though a few places which gave slightly more positive responses - Sainsbury's of Wimbledon saying that they will almost certainly be looking to employing people over the summer and taking in a CV, WHSmith taking a CV and saying maybe, The Odeon, Wimbledon and Virgin in Sutton both asked for application forms to be filled in, Top Man also in sutton took in a CV, Debenhams gave us an email address and Uni Qlo said come back at the end of the month. So, not all doom and gloom.

Because of the lack of a Babyshambles CD being released yet, despite everyones obvious desire for this to happen, I have taken it upon myself to make my own using the various songs of theirs I have on this computer of mine and it was worth it, my life is now all the better but I still want an official one to come out. The track listings on my CD are as follows:
    1. Babyshambles
    2. Do You Know Me
    3. Gang of Gin
    4. Fuck Forever
    5. Killamangiro
    6. Stix and Stones
    7. Albion
    8. Arcady
    9. Lust of the Libertines
    10. My Darling Clementine
    11. The Man Who Came to Stay
    12. At the Flophouse
    13. In Love with a Feeling
    14. He Will Fall
    15. The Whole World is our Playground
    16. Wolfman

New Premiership football fixtures are out today Arsenal are at home to Newcastle on the first day, one of the most important days of my season that fixture as it signals the north/south divide in my family, me as part of the southern branch I support Arsenal and the northern branch all support Newcastle, so whatever the result banter will be passed.

Finally, it just has to be said that Maria Sharapova is amazing in every single way, not only is she very nice looking she is pretty damn good at tennis and is only 18. What a woman

  • The Amazing Story Trilogy

I can't believe that in the few months i've been doing these blogs that I have not mentioned my illustrious career in making utterly pointless mini films/cartoons using the great Windows Movie Maker.

    Such titles as:
    The Tour 2
    Mullets
Oad to the Bakery (a terrible spelling mistake that will haunt me for the rest of my life)

I mention this now because I have completed the Amazing Story Trilogy. 3 Cartoons each with their own individual stories but based around a few main points, they all contain me and a few of me mates, the visiting of a pub and at least some members of girls aloud. The lovely Laura has seen episode 1 and from her reaction i dont believe was too excited by it but that doesnt put me off because a) most of my mates loved them without question and b) she hasnt seen episodes 2 or 3 which were even more highly acclaimed then the first. Special requests must be made for my cartoons to be sent to anyone and if I have to send them by Email there quality becomes much less emphatic but i am willing to send if anyone wants them enough.

    The titles are:
The Amazing Story of the Three Amigos
The Amazing Story 2: A Night and a Half
The Amazing Story 3: The Tournament

Other news today, got sent an email from HMV telling me of a Carl Barat (ex-libertine) release, to my immense displeasure it was not tracks by Carl Barat but a selection of songs that he had selected - generally a good list of tunes though accept i read to the end of the listings and lo and behold it was a 'song' bu the Streets, really...

  • Spending Spree

Well who said it was only girls who went out on shopping sprees, it can happen to anyone once you get into the swing of things, one things leads to another and before you know it youve spent large amounts of money thatyou didnt particularly want to spend. Madness!

My day started off quite slowly, others around me were being tempted by things left right and centre, but i stood my ground even though there were decent things there. My aim for the day was to buy one or two cds and leave it at that. And Johnny boy you wont like this next bit at all, as i said last week i bought the new white stripes album from safeway, this time it was worse, I bought 2 cds from..... Tesco. Coldplay's X&Y and Foo Fighters - In Your Honour.

We walked around a few more shops not really even thinking of buying anything, but then came CD Warehouse... wow what an amazing place, once youve been there you will never need to go to HMV or Virgin again not only is it packed with the decent music that the big name stores have tucked away in a small corner round the back it is also very very cheap (in comparisson, £7-10 is still a lot for a round bit of plastic) In there i could have spent hundreds of pouns on loads of cds but i stuck to just the 3. Jimi Hendrix - greatest hits, The Doors - Greatest hits and The Cure - Boys dont cry.

After finaly being dragged away from there kicking and screaming we had some lunch, the pizza hut buffet, they say all you can eat so why to people give me strange looks when i come back to my seat with a pile of pizza taller than my head and then still go up for seconds? its a bout principles...

Oh but that still isnt it we went into a few more shops and i ended up buying a couple of nice polo shirts to match my indie hair style, and the cheek of one of the casheers accusing me of counterfitting money he said "thats a nice thick £20 note did you make it yourself" the rudeness of the guy, just because there was a great program about counterfitting on last night he thinks that i would be guilty of such a crime, im tempted, oh so tempted to complain.

That was the end of my day apart from a mindless walk around woolworths never intending to buy anything because of my newly found skintism. Just to recap:
    Coldpay - X&Y
Foo Fighters - In Your Honour
    The Doors - Greates hits
    Jimi Hendrix Greatest Hits
The Cure - Boys dont cry
A pizza hut buffet lunch and 2 t-shirts
    = a lot of money

anyway thats it for now bye bye mes amis
